Temple of Santa María in Tonantzintla

Another great example of Mexican Baroque from Puebla. Built on top a pyramid dedicated to a local pre-Hispanic God (the sources I consulted all mention a different God), this church in Cholula blends Spanish Baroque with a wealth of native motifs and pre-Christian symbols.
