Not much is known about Ustad Mansur (Master Mansur), the best Nature painter of the Moghul era. Mansur was a court painter active between 1590 and 1624, the year he died. He was the first to paint a Dodo in color, a specimen having been brought to the court of Moghul Jehangir.
