This is how French director George Franju and composer Maurice Jarre introduce the title character in “Judex” (1963):
Georges Franju (1912-1987) made his name in documentary shorts, then directed 8 feature films. He liked a cold, clinical camera to film the oneiric and the etheral.
Maurice Jarre (1924-2009) is a prolific French Composer who moved to Hollywood in 1965. Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago are his most famous soundtracks.
A clip with similar chemistry between Jarre and Franju, from Eyes without a face (Yeux sans visage, 1960):
I cannot resist adding this clip, the end of the Longest Day, music by Jarre. It is from the hard-to-find colorized version, a must see for fans of the movie. I could only find it dubbed in Hungarian.
