It’s been laborious to find out anything about the band The St Vincent Latinaires except that they are from the Saint Vincent part of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean. And that they are very Funky in that early 70’s way while displaying a wide array of influences from the Americas and Africa that makes them always fun to listen to.

Their most liked song is the low-down Roasted or Fried. I like the wild Hot Pants I’ m comin’. The Latinaires believe in their Funk without reservation and somehow wrap Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra around that finger.
Saint Vincent is a large island topped by the active volcano La Soufrière while the Grenadines are a chain of smaller islands, each with wonderful names. A Soufrière is a place to harvest Sulphur. A dozen volcanoes in the Caribbean are named Soufrière.
